Jessica and Chuk wanted their engagement session to be close to their home, amongst the cherry blossoms in Washington D.C. We spent the evening roaming around the Mall, different monuments, and along the cherry blossoms. This year, the cherry blossoms are much earlier than expected! Instead of a peak bloom in April, they are scheduled for a peak bloom by March 1, 2023.

The National Park Service will announce their initial peak bloom prediction on March 1. All signs currently point to an early bloom. We've seen a much-warmer-than-normal January and February. On average, DC's cherry blossoms bloom around the last week of March into the first week of April.
